Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 September 2026. This policy is reviewed periodically; if anything here is unclear, ask us before you order.

This Privacy Policy explains how Sports Warehouse Company Ireland (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit sportswarehouse.irish or buy from us.

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us any time at theteam@customersupport.care.

The privacy law that applies

We are the controller of the personal data described here. We handle it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018. In Ireland, these laws are enforced by the Data Protection Commission.

Privacy questions and requests are handled by our team at theteam@customersupport.care.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the store and look after you.

  • When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address (street, city, postal code and country), any order notes, what you bought, the delivery method you chose, any discount code you used, and the amount you paid.
  • Payment information: card payments are handled by Stripe Checkout and PayPal payments by PayPal, on their own systems. We receive confirmation that the payment went through and a payment reference. We never receive or store your card details.
  • When you contact us: your name, email address, your message and anything you choose to include, whether you email us, use our contact or wholesale quote form, or leave feedback on our review page.
  • When you use the chat assistant: the messages you type into it.
  • When you browse: our hosting provider handles your IP address and basic details of each request so it can deliver pages to you. Google Analytics also records things like the pages you visit, how you arrived, and your device and browser type. In Ireland and the rest of the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec, it sets no analytics cookies until you accept them, as explained in our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information, and our legal basis

  • To process, pack and deliver your order, and to send your order confirmation and shipping emails. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and complaints. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in replying to you.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the store secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it, using analytics cookies. Legal basis: your consent where the law requires it (including in Ireland and the rest of the EEA), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the business records the law requires. Legal basis: legal obligation.

We only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to them. Every marketing email identifies us and lets you unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing theteam@customersupport.care.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only what each one needs:

  • Stripe and PayPal, who take your payment.
  • Vercel, who hosts this website and runs our checkout.
  • Supabase, where our order records are stored.
  • Resend, who sends our order emails.
  • The supplier and courier that pack and deliver your order, who receive the details needed to deliver it, such as your name, delivery address and phone number.
  • Google, for Google Analytics. It runs with Google Consent Mode, so in Ireland and the rest of the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec it only sets cookies after you accept. Our pages also load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
  • IntellextAI, who provides the chat assistant on our pages.
  • Our form system, served from app-marketing-command-centre.vercel.app, which receives what you send through our contact, wholesale quote and review feedback forms.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.

Transfers outside Ireland and the EEA

Our company and some of our team are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), and several of the service providers above store or process personal data outside the EEA. Where personal data leaves the EEA, the transfer relies on a safeguard allowed under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and browser storage

Your cart, any discount code you apply and your delivery choice are kept in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. The Google tag loads on every page, but in Ireland and the rest of the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec it sets no analytics cookies until you click Accept in our cookie banner. While consent is denied, Google may still receive basic signals sent without cookies. The full detail, and how to change your choice, is on our Cookie Policy page.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep messages and enquiries while they are useful. When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Have data that is wrong or incomplete corrected.
  • Have your data erased. This does not include information we must keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.
  • Restrict or object to some uses of your data, including direct marketing.
  • Take data you gave us to another provider in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent. We will explain if withdrawing it means we cannot provide a service, such as completing an order.

To make a request, email theteam@customersupport.care. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it. We will reply without undue delay and within one month, which is the time the GDPR allows.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at dataprotection.ie, or to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.

Keeping it secure

This site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and your card details are handled by Stripe and PayPal rather than by us. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, but we take care to protect yours.

Children's privacy

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
